PROJECT OVERVIEW

Teknon hired us to create and design a new idea of washing vehicles. Teknon is run by Gabriel Martinez whom has been running a fleet detailing service since he was 18. The pragmatic idea he had in the last year though has changed his understanding of how he will continue his business. He came to us to detail only the most sophisticated of clients. Creating a detailing service that would cater to the millionaires of each city in the United States, but how do you make a detailing service look and feel luxurious?

IDENTITY

A car detailing service has been around since the invention of the car, but it has always been the same layout and idea. A dirty car comes to your location, you spray it down with a water and soap and wipe it clean, vacuum the inside to remove the week’s dirt and maybe add an air freshener on the rear view mirror. Gabriel had another idea and we felt compelled to help him create his story.

Gabriel wanted to create a detailing car service dedicated to the elite of each city in America. The question is how do you make a car detailing service look luxurious? Along with Gabriel we created an idea to make Teknon into more than a shop but instead into an icon. Something that could stand for more than just the business but instead an ideology. Religion and servitude are the backbone of Gabriel’s beliefs, so we developed a brand identity that circled the essence of this belief.

DESIGN

We had so much fun with this project for Teknon creating a crown that signified more than just treating customers with respect, but being able to tie the “X” in the crown back to Gabriel’s religious endeavors as a preacher. Creating the 5 points to represent the Crown of Life, the Incorruptible Crown, the Crown of Righteousness, the Crown of Glory, and the Crown of Exultation. Being able to work with a company that has such strong beliefs gives us the ability to truly tie design to message.
