PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Coalition on Abusive Trauma in Bexar County came to us to help their cause of spreading education, training and guidance to women & men in abusive situations. Bexar County has risen to one of the worst counties in the country with abuse records. The Coalition is on a mission to reduce these numbers through education and outreach to our community.

IDENTITY

Strength comes from a collective of people standing up for a just cause. The identity we created along side the coalition was to promote people being abused to give rise to the oppressed. There is nothing that we can not solve through educating our victims. We do this by taking a strong stance in the face of fear with powerful images of women proudly saying “NO!” It is time to make a stand and with a new identity we feel we have given the coalition a new lease on life.

DESIGN

The design was meant to be powerful and in your face to give strength to our audience. We wanted to show that even though you have been abused you are a fighter. You can change your life and break free whenever you chose. We gave powerful images of solo women tied with nature elements to surround the identity with the circle of life. The logo was created to be a stamp of certification for strength & power. The icon had to be something we could play over images and stand alone on a 50ft banner in the middle of downtown. We wanted to create something simple, but that can be a beacon for change.
