PROJECT OVERVIEW

Black Label Tribe caught our eye with the purpose behind their marketing strategy. They chose to not money upfront for stuggling businesses, but instead put their mouth where their money is & invest into each business they created a marketing strategy. They are proving their model by understanding that a business set to grow correctly will achieve as long as the foundation is solid.

IDENTITY

Black Label’s personality is simple and clear which is one of the reason’s we were excited to work with them. We wanted a clear distinction of their mission up front without any frills. We chose to do the entire project from top to bottom in black and white. The identity of Black Label is calculated, invisible and concise. There are no extra words to describe them.

Black Label was created to demonstrate the quiet hero in every action movie. We used Luke Cage as a prime example of the personality of the brand. Black Label does what needs to be done without taking credit or being seen as a superstar. He is their to provide support and vision with clear intent.

DESIGN

In order to create an identity that meshed with Luke Cage and the strong silent hero we chose a black and white color scheme. We gave a muted red for accents where we needed to draw the viewers eye in attention driven moments. We gave a pastel green to give breaks to the eye away from the constant black and white color. We kept the imagery very vague only tying them together with the simple theme of a city scape. No city is referenced in order to understand that Black Label could be anywhere and everywhere, but no where at all keeping with the invisible identity.
